Meet Optika.hr
Optika.hr is a modern online store specialising in prescription and sunglasses, contact lenses, and related optical accessories. The project was built from the ground up with a brand-new design and personalised functionality to meet the needs of digital consumers seeking a simple, reliable, and technologically advanced way to shop for optical products.
Challenges before the transformation
The client aimed to create a unique online experience that goes beyond just a product catalogue, offering real functionality and value—such as virtual try-ons, automated lens subscriptions, and detailed order personalisation. These requirements could not be met using standard e-commerce tools.
Why digitalisation?
The goal was to create a centralised platform for the entire optical offering, giving users control, convenience, and confidence—from selecting frames and lenses to automated orders and technical support. The digital solution had to address the specific demands of a market that purchases prescription products online.

The transformation process
We developed a completely new web store, optimised for the Croatian market and designed for end users with diverse needs. Emphasis was placed on simple navigation, a rich product catalogue, and integrated tools that make the shopping experience faster and more precise.
Personalised functionalities
- Integration of Fittingbox for virtual eyeglass try-on via webcam
- Integration of PD (pupillary distance) measurement tool via webcam
- Subscription system for contact lenses with automatic orders and billing
- Interface for personalised lens parameter selection when purchasing prescription frames
Administration and catalogue
- Development of a plugin for importing products from the Fittingbox catalogue
- Product filtering based on optical attributes (frame shape, material, colour, brand, etc.)
